Buddy Benches for Davie Elementary Schools

Calling our Davie County Community! This year's Leadership Davie Class of 2021 has teamed up with the Davie County High School Carpentry and Drafting classes to aid in the creation of 'Buddy Benches' for our Elementary Schools' playgrounds! We're sure if you think back, you will recall all of the friends you made during recess and how one conversation on a playground bench could spark a new friendship. Inspiration for our Buddy Benches came about as a way to provide a welcoming and inclusive way for our youth to foster and build those lasting friendships that will endure long after recess has ended.

Here's where YOU come in! We're calling all those in our Davie County community to join us in donating funds for the supplies necessary for our DHS classes to complete this project. Our goal is not only to provide this gift to our Elementary schools, but to also support our amazing DHS students who have graciously agreed to help us in our endeavor!

In the spirit of the giving season, any amount you feel led to donate will help us in reaching our goal. We cannot wait for the big reveal at our schools once our project is completed and will be sharing photos along the way for the community to follow along.
