In May Buddy, was struck by a truck right outside of the Good Dog off leash dog park while we were on a morning run. She  was hit by a work truck coming down from the resorts on the Cascade Lakes Highway. This truck did not slow down or stop after the incident. She suffered many fractures in the bones around her left eye, had a huge laceration from her left hip to the bottom of her stomach exposing her organs and intestines, and fractured her femur in 3 places. We were left on the side of the road until a car stopped and helped us get to the emergency vet. This was a traumatic experience for both Buddy and I. 


Buddy has been my constant companion since my father’s passing last year. She has brought me unconditional love, and brought joy back into my life after a very emotionally difficult year.


The vets at at the Bend Animal Emergency Center call her a miracle dog. She has received reconstructive surgery on her left femur, hundreds of staples, physical therapy and lots of love of course. She gets stronger everyday, and the puppy I know and love is starting to come back to life.


I am asking for your help towards Buddy’s recovery bills. Any sort of donation is so appreciated and does not go unnoticed. I am so appreciative of the love and support we have received in the last month during this traumatic time in Buddy’s life.
