Hi there, my name is Lizzy and my dog Buddha is my best friend in the world. He has been in my life for the past 11 years and has been my trained service animal for the past six years following my emergency heart surgery. Anyone who knows me, knows Buddha. He is the life of every party, the sweetest creature I've ever encountered, and he's never met a soul he doesn't like. He is goofy, selfless, and even as I cry writing this, his main concern is coming over to make sure I'm okay.

Recently, Buddha was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a type of cancer that impacts the body's lymph nodes which are used to fight infection. The treatment for Lymphoma in dogs is incredibly expensive and it's not something I can pay for alone. As a cancer survivor, myself, I understand the immense need for community care and support in the scary times of treatment, and so we are calling on our community to help us. We are trying to raise enough funds to cover Buddha chemo, as well as part of an experimental treatment that has been found to actually cure dogs of Lymphoma.

I have worked in animal welfare and animal rescue my entire adult life and none of that would have been possible without the love and relationship of this little guy. Please help us to save my sweet boy so that he may live many more years full of love and joy.
