Bucky's Battle with Lymphoma (insurance covers half)

Donation protected
Bucky was adopted by Lucie in 2020 from CHAAMP Malamute Rescue After vet and ER visits, a 2x2 growth was found in his intestines, and he was diagnosed with lymphoma. He is undergoing three rounds of the CHOP Protocol chemotherapy at AVIMO Annapolis. Insurance covers only half of the cost which is approximately $18K.

Bucky is a 6-year-old EXCEPTIONAL dog. In 2024, he earned a NACSW Summit title, and despite being unwell, he remains a gentle and affectionate pup with everyone. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated.

You can also donate directly to Bucky's account at Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology

We refer to Bucky as Lucky Bucky because he has the best malamute mom, ever! They are each other's world and have inspired CHAAMP to learn and promote nose work.

Bucky's Rescue Story
Bucky was surrendered to a Baltimore shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. CHAAMP Malamute Rescue was contacted and we took him in December 2019. He was malnourished, chewing his tail from anxiety, and had low muscle tone. On January 20, 2020, Lucie's Alaskan Malamute, Ramzes, passed away. She was heartbroken and decided to volunteer. It was love at first sight (pictured below). Together they healed and began NACSW nose work.
