The last couple of months have been anything but good to my dad. If you don’t know Buck Blackburn, you should. He’s a legend to us, and perhaps to others who have had the good fortune to meet and know him. His family means everything to him. Within the past month, he has received some devastating news. He recently had an MRI which showed prostate cancer, which has moved into areas of his bones. His biopsy is scheduled for July 13th, and after that he will meet with oncology. If you know him, he’s as tough as nails and has an unmatched work ethic. Not feeling well is not his normal! He’s the greatest man I know and is a fighter! Unfortunately, this leaves a heavy burden on him and my mother, as he is the sole provider. To top it off, he’s uninsured and can not enroll until November! Even with “affordable insurance” the numbers are staggering! Health care is outrageously expensive, especially cancer treatment! It’s hard to ask for help but he needs all he can get! The Blackburn family thanks all of you! Please, please, please pray for him as he navigates and goes through these uncertain times. He’s our families rock and deserves all good things❤️.
