I created this GoFundMe on Mike & Alicia's behalf so they can go on the Honeymoon & Bucket list trip they deserve.
Mike and Alicia met over a decade ago and their romance quickly flourished. They support each other wholeheartedly and are dedicated to each other’s happiness. A few months ago, Mike and Alicia finally tied the knot! We were so excited and couldn't wait to celebrate with them. Life had other plans - not even a month after their wedding Alicia found out her breast cancer was back.
A few years into the relationship Alicia was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis. She and Mike fought the illness head on. Lifestyle adjustments were made and the couple persevered. Unfortunately, a few years later Alicia found a lump on New Years Day. It was cancerous. After a mastectomy, countless rounds of chemo and radiation, she beat the cancer into submission. Five years later and just a few days after their wedding, Alicia found out the breast cancer is back and inoperable.
Anyone who knows my brother, Mike, knows he's hardworking and will do anything for his family. I often say, "Mike is a saint," although, he doesn't see himself that way. He's incredibly humble and a man of few words. He works three jobs to support his blended family and is the first to offer help instead of ask for it.
The future is unclear and the diagnosis isn't as optimistic as we'd like. Alicia created a bucket list and Mike is working to fulfill her wishes. The one trip she wants to take while she can still travel is a trip to Alaska to see the Aurelia Borealis. Please help us make this the dream honeymoon that they deserve.
