Hello :)

 

My name is Michael Loccisano Jr. and I am a Director and Filmmaker based in New York. As a queer artist, I stride towards changing the perception of queer representation in mainstream media. As I am currently in the pre-production phase of my newest short film, "Bucket Head," I need YOUR help to make my vision come to life.

 

Bucket Head follows Chris, a gay college student who struggles to fit within society's body standards. As they attempt to participate in an annual carwash fundraiser, Chris' best friend Sam and the fellow members of the queer club support Chris as they attempt to overcome their fears.

 

This film is one I am truly passionate about as I was inspired by my own story. Like many others, I have struggled with my body image, due to the amount of pressure society puts on us to look and act a certain way. Bucket Head defies the conventions of a typical “Queer” Drama. With elements of comedy, this light-hearted yet serious film addresses the issue of one's relationship with their body. The support from the queer organization helps to push Chris as he takes his first step towards self-acceptance.
