Buck Parton's Funeral and Medical Expenses
Donation protected
The sisters of Jill Parton, the wife of Leon "Buck" Parton are coming together in this fundraising effort for the funeral expenses and medical bills.
Buck was admitted into the hospital on his 50th birthday with COVID pneumonia. Once admitted, Buck fought each and every day for himself and his family. After 3 days of being in the hospital Buck was sedated and put on a ventilator. While on the ventilator Buck's body was on a constant roller coaster with victories and challenges as his body battled fevers, infections, being rotated from his belly to his back, and numerous changes to the ventilator. On January 6th, Buck's lung collapsed and with swift action from the nurses and trauma surgeon, they were able to expand his lung again. Sadly, two days later, Buck's body couldn't fight anymore and he passed away with his wife Jill and sister Lynette by his side.
Buck very rarely met a stranger and was always ready for a good time. He served in the US Navy and was a past volunteer fire fighter for the Blue Mound Fire Department. More recently, Buck was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a Park Board Member in Blue Mound, and a JFL Board Member. Jill and Buck were also involved with the Boy Scouts of America with their son's Will and Wes.
We are devastated by Buck's loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Buck the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. Any additional funds we receive will be put towards medical expenses from his time in the ICU.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so, We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.
