Buck Fleanders' Home Fire Recovery

On Thursday, October 21, 2021, Buck Fleanders picked up a cook shift at Louie's Cafe for a fellow employee who was under the weather. His shift was interrupted by news that his home was on fire. Shocked, Buck rushed from the shift to find the contents of his home destroyed. Left with the clothes on his back and an uncertain future, one of the most joyful, precious, and hard working men I know continues to press on. Missing neither shifts nor assignments in the aftermath, Buck has missed only sleep, belongings, comfort, and home. My name is Fred Simonson, Buck's supervisor at Louie's Cafe, and I am setting up this fundraiser to help Buck establish a new residence and replace some of his lost belongings.
