My 18 year old son was tragically taken from me on February 4, 2020 by gun violence. I am a mother that works two jobs and one do not cover any time off. I have 4 other of children to care for. This is something a parent is never prepared for and I am asking for financial support at this time and help from all that understands a mother pain and how hard this is on me.
Tre' Vonta was the light of my life he was my tutu. I remember when he took his first step at 7 months old, I know then he was going to be a challenge. He started riding a skateboard at 3, and I mean riding not falling. At that time I knew he was something special. tutu had two deep dimples and his smile lights up a room, and his laughter is contagious. He had a giving spirit, he was smart, he was funny, he was athletic and he was a leader. Tre’Vonta made such an impact on his friends and since his death, they have continued to honor him in their own special way.
I want the world to know that Tre’Vonta Burks, like SO MANY other gun violence victims, did not deserve to die this way. He had her basic Human Right to life snatched from him because of someone else's lack of direction and self-worth.
Everyone needs to understand that violence affects not only the victim, but the victim’s family for generations. This is lasting trauma that will go with me to my grave.
Asking for help is very hard for me to do but I know that theirs a lot of people with heavy hearts that want to help our family so with a humble heart I accept you help its to heavy for me to carry.
Thank you so much for all your support.
