Hi everyone. I hate to do this, but it has been a hectic last couple of days. Long story and wanted to give some background.
Back in March we made the decision to take in two sweet Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bruce who is going to be 7 this year and Cody who is going to be 5 this year. Here is the post that we saw that made us take these sweet boys into our home and give them a good life:
Hey friends, we need some help. My dad had a stroke 4 weeks ago and has been in the hospital ever since so Mom was left by herself to hold down the fort. She unfortunately had a fall 10 days later and broke her arm. A very unfortunate series of events for sure. But that means their dogs Bruce and Cody have had to be boarded for the last two weeks and we appreciate their breeder berner valley farm 270 (momma Dwynette) so much for helping us get them out of the Kennel and out to the farm.
My dad is probably never coming home and mom will be never be back in a position to have the dogs again.
She has tears of sadness from not being able to bring her babies home but sometimes life has a plan. I hope that plan is for someone to love these sweet boys and enjoy them as much as my parents have over the years.
I thank everyone for helping find someone to love these handsome fellas forever!!
The boys have been such a great addition to our family and our girls love them while they love our girls back. We couldn’t imagine what they have gone through with losing their owners and being in a kennel to then possibly being split up, when they have grown up with each other their whole lives, so we felt like this was the right thing to do. Unfortunately this past Sunday on Mother’s Day, Bruce had his stomach flip and I rushed him over to the ER for emergency surgery. Without this surgery he wouldn’t be here right now. He is recovering well and should make a full recovery. With that being said, the $9,744 bill for surgery is something we haven’t and couldn’t have planned for. We aren’t in the position to be able to cover this amount fully ourselves. We will pay anything to help these boys and I’m glad we were able to save Bruce’s life, but this has set our family back a good amount. Hate asking for help, but we are in a time of need. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated ❤️
