Bubble Boy Bennett

Bennett was born on May 17th 2018. On Friday the 26th, the hospital Bennett was born at called at 9pm and instructed us to go to Doernbecher Children's Hospital immediately. His newborn screen showed that he was not producing lymphocytes, white blood cells. Another test at Doernbecher confirms that he is not producing T-cells, a major components of the immune system.
Bennett most likely has SCID, Severe Combined Immunodeficiency. This is the same disease that David Vetter aka "The Bubble Boy" had. My wife and I are taking turns with Bennett at the hospital and with our 6 year old daughter, Arianna, at home. I'm using up my sick and vacation days saved up from work, but I'm going to run out soon.
