I was recently diagnosed  with MDS with p53 gene mutation. This is a often fatal form of bone marrow cancer. I will be traveling back and forth to Boston to Dana Farber for treatment. I am starting chemo in the next few days and if all goes well will go to Boston for a month to have a stem cell transplant. This particular type of cancer is very aggressive and resistant to treatment. The cost of travel, hotels and treatment can be quite a burden. Every little bit helps.
