In December, my dad suffered a severe stroke that changed his life in an instant. The stroke affected his speech and left him hemiplegic, unable to walk or speak. Watching someone you love go through such a sudden and profound change is incredibly difficult, and our family has been doing everything we can to support him as he faces these new challenges each day.

Since the stroke, my dad has required constant care and specialized equipment to help with his daily needs.
