META ATINGIDA! OBRIGADA!

O Marcelo fez agora 12 anos. Há poucos dias entrou em crise e foi internado de urgência com insuficiência renal crónica e anemia não regenerativa.

Precisou de internamento (2 dias), transfusão de sangue, ecografia abdominal e análises completas, fluidoterapia intensiva, medicação e alimentação especial. Está a ser tratado na Vet'in'Área (OneVet) em Setúbal.

Agora está em casa, frágil, mas a reagir. Vai fazer fluidoterapia diária em ambulatório durante pelo menos uma semana.

Depois desta fase, vai ser reavaliado para perceber se os rins conseguiram recuperar alguma função.

Até agora, os custos rondam os 900€. Mas vão aumentar.

Fiz tudo o que podia, mas agora preciso de ajuda.

O Marcelo ainda tem vontade de viver, e há hipóteses de estabilizar e recuperar alguma qualidade de vida. Só quero garantir que tenha o tempo que tiver com dignidade, conforto e sem dor.

Se sobrar algum valor, será usado para os check-ups dos meus outros dois gatos, que também precisam de análises.

Marcelo just turned 12. A few days ago, he went into crisis and had to be urgently hospitalized with chronic kidney disease and non-regenerative anemia.

He needed two days of hospitalization, a blood transfusion, abdominal ultrasound and full bloodwork, intensive fluid therapy, medication and a special renal diet. He's being treated at VeteR'in'Área (OneVet) in Setúbal, Portugal.

He’s now home, fragile, but responding. He’ll be getting daily subcutaneous fluid therapy for at least a week.

After that, he’ll be re-evaluated to see whether his kidneys have managed to regain any function.

So far, the costs are around €900, but they will go up.

I did everything I could, but now I need help.

Marcelo still wants to live, and there’s hope of stabilising his condition and giving him some quality of life back. I just want to make sure that whatever time he has left is spent with dignity, comfort and without pain.

If anything is left over, it will go toward check-ups for my other two cats, who also need bloodwork.

Any help makes a difference.
