Hi, I have a friend that's been through a gauntlet hardships and now is facing homelessness after their mother forced them to to Taos, New Mexico. None of them have the income to live in Taos, New Mexico, and their father's heart condition makes living there an active health hazard due to the altitude. Needless to say, they can't stay there.

The goal is to get my friend, their father (and their two cats pictured) up here to Portland, OR or to Lubbock, TX (where we have mutuals to also help them find housing) and help them get settled. We have means of transport, but we do still need funds for gas, motel/hotel stays and food, and fortunately, we think $2,000 will be enough.

All funds will go to travel expenses first, then the rest will go to our friend to help them get settled.
