For nearly 20 years, Ruben has been a part of the Chirco team. For the past few months, Ruben has been having severe pain in his stomach, to the point where he can barely breathe. On Wednesday, April 26th, Ruben went to the hospital for a CT scan to see what was causing the pain. The doctor unfortuantely came out with bad news. Ruben has been diagnosed with Cancer of the colon which has spread to the liver. Now that the cancer is in two places, it is in it's advanced stages and chemotherapy will be started on Monday, May 8th. This round of chemo will be used to slow down the growth of the cancer and hope that we can stop it from spreading. A re-evaluation will be scheduled later down the road to see what other options we have. At this point, we are just looking to stop the growth as quickly as possible.

For those who know Ruben, know that he is the type of person that would give his shirt off of his back for anyone and everyone. Ruben is the sole-provider of his family of four, wife, Gabby, son Ruben, and his young daughter Aryanna. Please show support for Ruben. Lets come together as a community and do what is right.
