Dads road to recovery

Donation protected
Hello everyone, This is Tanya and Kelly, Cesar’s (Tony) daughters. As many of you know, our dad had a bad accident and is currently in the trauma center/ICU in Chicago. He had to have an emergency surgery for a neck break and spinal fracture. He is currently paralyzed and it is a waiting game for him. He has begun to get some feeling back in certain spots of his arms/upper half but as of now, they have updated us that he still has no feeling in his lower half. We’re praying and hoping the surgery will help as far as gaining movements and mobility back. Either way he has a long, hard recovery ahead of him

Our dad is a self owned business man and is going to be out of work for the unforeseeable future. He will need to go to a rehabilitation center in Chicago after being released from here. Our parents are very stubborn. They do not know that we are making this to ask for help with medical bills and rehab so we can make sure our dad has best chance at recovery and walking again, and to make sure they do not lose everything they’ve worked so hard for during this challenging time.  We know the care he needs is not cheap and they are going to have to depend only on our mom’s income to  get by .

He is stabilized and alert but he is being very hard on himself as he knows it’s going to be hard recovery process. He is such a selfless and wonderful husband/dad/grandpa and is more worried about bills, the shop, and the family than he is about himself. We keep reassuring him with the love and support he has, it will all be okay.

We do want to thank you all for the support, calls, visits, FaceTimes, and prayers that you have been sending. it mean a lot to him and is helping keep his spirit and positive attitude up more than you all know! We know times are hard for everyone so even if you cannot help financially at this time, a call or visit will mean more to him than we can explain.  While visiting with his family yesterday, we got to see him smile and laugh for the first time  in days! We appreciate everyone in this time of need! It’s so wonderful to see how many people care and love our dad. He’s our best friend so let’s get him better. Dad said all he can’t wait to be able to hold his grand babies again. ❤️
