Bare Sole Disaster Relief Fund
Donation protected
The Bare Sole Project offers networking solutions, marketing support, and emergency funds to help give immediate needed resources for people displaced by natural disasters.
We work closely with local grassroots organizations, immediately after recognizing that a disaster is occurring. Our team is fully mobile, and we specialize in fundraising outside of the affected regions, and exporting the stories and needs of the people there.
We believe in empowering communities to rise to these occasions, rather than monopolizing disaster situations or dictating courses of action, in situations we cannot understand, because they are happening in places that are not our homes.
Donations will be used to directly support people who have been displaced by natural disasters, such as the recent wildfires in Oregon. We support not just people with photo identification and proof of residency. We are willing to except responsibilities and risks inherent to disaster first response. Our purpose is to provide that initial support network, to help people organize and stay safe until larger organizations, better suited for long-term housing etc., can arrive and engage.
