School supplies for kids in need

Asking for donations is never easy. Especially, this time of year when we are preparing to send our children back to school this upcoming Fall. Trust me, I understand...

However, when it comes to supporting the community and those who have helped build the foundation for Staten Island basketball, we can all agree that Ed Watkins is more than worth it.

Coach Redd Tripp had decided to commemorate the life of Ed Watkins, with the annual "Ed Watkins- Rising Stars Day" in Mahoney Park. This dedication started last year in 2018, with the street sign named after Ed in New Brighton and we are looking to keep his legacy alive with this annual event, taking place on Sat. Sept 7, 2019.

In order for this event to take place and give back to the Staten Island community in the fashion that reflects Ed Watkins' generosity, we are asking for monetary donations from those who love, learned from and appreciate him. If you cannot donate monetarily, your presence at this event and love for Ed will be more than enough.
