Hey guys!
Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Nicaragua with Young Life (or Vida Joven as the Nicaraguans call it) for an expedition trip. It was absolutley beautiful to see a ministry that I fell in love with over three years ago taking place 2,000 miles away in an entirely different language. During my time there, I was able to see Jesus working in the lives of Nicaraguan Vida Joven leaders, committe members, and kids of various ages. It was a blessing unlike no other. I worked at a Vida Joven camp called La Finca alongside my new Nicaraguan friends as well as my friends from home. This camp is a place where hundreds of kids from all over Central America travel every summer to hear about Jesus with their leaders and friends; and I, an eighteen-year-old boy from Arkansas, was able to work at making this special place a little bit better. It was incredibly humbling. I will forever cherish the friendships and memories that I made during my time in Nicaragua.
I share this with you all because a similar opportunity has been given to me here in Nashville. My new area has two expedition trips available for us to go on. One of the trips is to Young Life India and the other is to Honduras. After much prayer and thought, I feel I've been called to return to Central America this spring break to serve in Honduras. However, I need your help to do so. Being in college, the funds that are available to me are slim. This amazing trip is going to cost around $1,800. While I will be doing group fundraising with Nashville Young Life, the majority of the money for my trip will have to come from generous donations given by people like you. I pray that you will consider helping me reach this goal during this Holiday season, in whatever amount you can and are willing offer.
