Ovarian Cancer Treatment

I never thought I would do this, but here I am. The beautiful woman you see in the photo above is my mother, Stephanie. She has suddenly been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian small cell carcinoma. It is a metastatic cancer that has taken ahold on not only her ovaries, but also, her intestines and liver. A recent ER visit uncovered all of this and she is fighting for her life. She has faced so many struggles in her life and this is just one more thing. The prognosis for this diagnosis is not good, but we have GOT to give her a fighting chance. My father, her husband and middle school sweetheart, has had to close his business to be with her. He knows he needs to open up but the thought of being away from her kills him. Family is stepping in and we are doing everything we can. My mother has had to have blood transfusions, an ileostomy, a plethora of pain medications, an exploratory surgery and one major surgery but she is still fighting. The doctors want to give her as much time as they can and with that comes more extensive treatment including chemotherapy and a transfer to another facility. If anyone can help in anyway, even simply just your prayers, it would be so appreciated.  My mother does have insurance but it only goes so far and chemo is ridiculously expensive. Every cent this may make is going directly to her care and medical bills.

We all just need a bit longer with this beautiful soul. I need more time. Her husband needs more time. Her grandchildren need…more time.
