Her Battle is Our Battle!

My wife and I are honored to support our loving sister-in-law, Diana Kelbaugh-Devereaux, in her battle to beat cancer. She is going through a special treatment to eliminate the melanoma cancer that has developed. She has been in the hospital for several days in the intensive care unit (ICU) as this process knocks out your entire immune system. She will be staying in the hospital for another two weeks or so, as she recovers from her medical procedure.

Dan Devereaux, Diana's husband, wanted to pass along more information about their journey through these challenging times:

She's been in the hospital since the day after Father's Day, she found out on March 2023 that she had melanoma again. We've been waiting months for this new therapy to become available to her and now finally have a chance for this treatment. It's a brand new treatment called TIL therapy which just got approved by the FDA and Diana is the first person in Maryland to try it. TIL therapy is a cellular immunotherapy that can help your immune system kill cancer cells when other treatments have failed. After the FDA approval, there's been a lot of challenges with the treatment, unforeseen ones as well as known, so it's been tougher than we expected. Diana will be in the hospital for probably a couple more weeks and will be going into physical therapy following this stage of her treatment. We unfortunately don't have a timeline for her to come home or when physical therapy will start.
