My name is Jonathan Cervantes, and I’m in desperate need of help.
On September 8, 2024, I was badly injured while working, and my life has never been the same since. Because of this injury, I’ve been on workers’ compensation, which only covers a small portion of my income. It hasn’t been enough to keep up with medical bills, therapy, and even basic living expenses.
In April 2025, I had back surgery (laminectomy and discectomy) to relieve the pain and nerve damage. Sadly, the surgery failed. I am now in worse pain than before and was recently diagnosed with an annular tear and multiple herniated discs. I need another back surgery just to have a chance at healing. Until then, every single day is a fight just to move, sit, or sleep.
Because of my condition, I can’t lift more than 20 pounds and cannot return to work until at least April 2026. This has stripped me of my independence and the ability to provide for myself.
To make things worse, my car was repossessed. Without transportation, I have no way to get to my doctor visits, physical therapy, or lawyer appointments. These appointments are not optional — they are critical for my recovery and for handling my case. Right now, I feel trapped, defeated, and terrified about how I will keep going.
That’s why I am asking for your help.
Your donations will immediately go toward:
• Securing reliable transportation so I don’t miss vital medical and legal appointments
• Covering the costs of medications, therapy, and upcoming surgery
• Helping with basic living expenses like rent, utilities, and food while I cannot work
Here’s how your support can help me right away:
• $20 helps cover gas or a ride to one appointment
• $50 helps pay for a week of medications and supplies
• $100 helps with physical therapy or essential bills
• $500+ gets me closer to securing a reliable vehicle so I can stay on top of treatment and recovery
This past year has been the most painful, humbling, and overwhelming time of my life. I am doing everything I can to push forward, but I can’t do this alone.
Even the smallest donation will make a huge difference for me right now. And if you can’t donate, please share this page with others — spreading the word could change everything for me.
I am truly at a breaking point, but I refuse to give up. With your help, I can get through this, get the treatment I need, and rebuild my life one step at a time.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you.
Jonathan Cervantes
