Help Jonathan Recover After Life-Changing Back Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jonathan Cervantes, I’m 37 years old, and I recently underwent major back surgery involving the L4/L5 vertebrae — including a laminectomy, laminoforaminotomy, and discectomy — after suffering a work-related injury on September 8th, 2024.
Despite trying everything—physical therapy, acupuncture, cortisone shots, and epidural injections—nothing stopped the nerve pain that shot down my leg daily. The numbness, burning, and sleepless nights took a toll on my body and my spirit. Surgery became my only hope.
Unfortunately, the surgery has led to Post-Laminectomy Syndrome, and my recovery is far from over. I still have several more months ahead before I can return to work, and during this time, I’ve been struggling — not just physically, but emotionally and financially.
This journey has put me in a very dark place. The inability to work, the constant pain, and the stress of keeping up with bills while recovering has left me feeling overwhelmed, depressed, and anxious. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong, but the burden is heavy.
Between medical expenses, medications, groceries, and basic living costs, things are quickly piling up. Workers’ comp checks are delayed, and I have no other income to rely on during this time.
I know life is hard for many of us right now, and asking for help isn’t easy. But if you can offer support — whether that’s a donation, a share, or even a kind message — it would mean the world to me. Every bit helps me keep the lights on and gives me space to focus on healing, instead of sinking deeper into stress.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story — and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
With gratitude,
Jonathan Cervantes
