Patrick and Darla Toyne, alongside their family are living a nightmare no one should ever experience. Their daughter, Bryton had a routine dental procedure, with oral anesthesia on December 22nd 2021. Her father, Patrick wrote in a facebook post on December 24th, that after the appointment they returned home and laid Bryton down for a nap. While she was asleep fluid began to build in her head, that put pressure on her brain. Her parents were unable to wake her, and she was taken to the ER in Billings, Montana. Soon after, it was determined that she had limited brain function, and was transported to Salt Lake City, Utah. While in Salt Lake City, they were told that their sweet little girl, who was weeks away from her second birthday had lost all brain function.
As of December 25th, 2021 Bryton remains on life support in Salt Lake City, with her parents by her side. Her family has made the heart breaking and courageous decision to donate her organs. They are currently coordinating, and finding recipients so this sweet little girl can help as many people as she can. This brave little soul has a lot left to do in this world, and her love and light will live on after she is gone.
As with any unexpected tragedy there comes unexpected emotional and financial expense. We would like to help her parents navigate this journey, with some assistance that will help ease some of the burden of funeral cost, and the costs of the travels from Montana to Utah they have had to make. Any contribution would be appreciated. If you are unable to help financially, please consider sharing. We will post updates as they come available. Thank you.
