This is Brynn. Let's back track on how we got here. Brynn was born with down syndrome and a heart defect. She was scheduled to have surgery at 6 months, then again when she was about 2 or 3 years old but, due to one side of her heart being bigger than the other she had to get her surgery earlier. She got her first surgery on Feb 16 at 4 months. A pulmonary artery band was place in her heart that she was supposed to grow into and it was going to help her until her next surgery. This is when brynn began to have serious issues. Brynn began having breathing issues and wasnt gain weight fast enough for the band. Brynn got sick two months after the surgery and was diagnosed with adenovirus and had to be spend 19 days in the hospital. When she was finally released she had to be on oxygen and a feeding tube. After just 3 days out the hospital she had to be rushed back to the hospital. She wasn't receiving enough oxygen and was constantly vomiting. The doctors said she had pneumonia and needed hi flow oxygen to breathe. She stayed in the hospital for another 3 days before she took a turn for the worse. The doctors did a cat scan and discovered a blood clot. The doctor tried to treat the clot but, it ended up shattering going to her brain, lungs and stomach. Brynn now need to be transported to another hospital for emergency surgery. After waiting 2 to 3 hours for transport, she was moved to the original hospital who did her heart surgery. Another scan was done and now it's determined that brynn was going brain dead. At this point brynn is no longer herself. She's unable to move. She's In a vegetative state. Now today may 14th on mothers day. Brynn is officially brain dead with no hope of coming back. I'm writing this on behalf of my cousin ebony who is brynns mother. Unfortunately she will have to put her baby to rest but she needs help doing so. Anything anyone can give will help go towards funeral costs and anything else she may need during this hard time.
