Hello Everyone,
Thank you for visiting our “Brynlee’s Hope” Go Fund Me Page.
For those of you that aren’t aware of my Brother (Brian Getchel) and Sister-In-Law, Jennifer Getchel’s situation, let me explain why we have created this page. Our Niece Brynlee was found to have heart failure (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) at just 7 weeks old and has been in and out of the hospital her whole life thus far. Brynlee is currently 10 months old and at Milwaukee Children’s Hospital because a few weeks ago, her condition took a turn for the worst. During these past few weeks, Brynlee has proven her incredible strength. She is currently on a Berlin Heart that supports and functions for the left side of her heart and a temporary pump that aids the right side of her heart. She will be having surgery on Wednesday, February 27th to have another Berlin Heart placed to support and sustain the right side of her heart until she is able to receive a heart transplant. Brynlee will hopefully be placed on the heart transplant list within the next week, if she remains stable, as her heart condition is not fixable and her heart will never work properly on it's on. The many procedures and surgeries, equipment, as well as the medications she has been on and will be on for the rest of her life come at a high cost. There have also been many unexpected expenses from traveling back and forth from Appleton to Milwaukee, not being able to go home for meals, living expenses to temporarily move to Milwaukee (as Brynlee could possibly be there for upwards of 6 months or better), etc. All of these expenses add up and have taken a financial toll on Brian and Jen. We set up this Go Fund Me in the hopes to at least relieve the financial burden and stress so that they are able to focus all their energy on what’s truly important, Brynlee and their son Jamison. Her name, Brynlee Hope, gives us all hope that she will get through this.
Our whole family can’t thank everyone enough for your thoughts, prayers, and support. Please feel free to share this page. We greatly appreciate you all.
