Thank you in advance for taking the time to be here.  I have unfortunately found myself in the position of having to ask for financial help to support my son, Bryce, with the associated medical and travel expenses in order to get him the help he needs right now. Two years ago, I created a GoFundMe to help support Bryce's medical expenses for recovery from a car accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. His road to recovery has been an ongoing journey and recently, he has experienced several setbacks that are requiring specialized private care. There are only a few locations in the U.S. that can support and treat the complexity of his symptoms.

 

On Wednesday, November 17th, he was accepted to one of those facilities located in California and we drove 30 hours straight to get him here in time for the Friday intake. His father, step-mom, and I made the drive with Bryce and once we got him settled, they drove back while I stayed in California. I am here until he is fully and safely transitioned, meeting with his team, and coordinating care.  We ended up skipping Thanksgiving as a family this year and are putting Christmas on hold for now...  I will be in California for several weeks.

 

We have out-of-pocket medical expenses that need to be covered within the next couple of weeks, in addition to the unexpected travel expenses we are incurring/will incur to be here as well as return home. 

We are beyond grateful for the support of family, friends, co-workers, and generous donors that have helped us in the past. I believe in the power of prayer and will take all the positive energy you can send!  Thank you!!!
