Brycen Strong: Beast Mode Activated
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jill McKinney. On behalf of the family and friends of Brycen, I would like to ask for our community’s help once again so that Brycen and his family can make a lifetime of memories without financial worry.
Brycen was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in late 2021 at 15 years old. He has battled the spread of this cancer for years and has had multiple surgeries on his leg, hip, and his lungs. He ultimately was able to ring that bell!
However, recently the cancer has reappeared in his lungs causing him to begin chemo once again. He just had one successful lung surgery with chemo and another surgery scheduled for the future. All the while, his spirits are high and his Faith is guiding him.
Unfortunately, yesterday morning, April 15th, Brycen had a seizure. Today the family received some devastating news:
From parents via #BrycenStrong Facebook page:
Good Lord Above, Friends, and Family
Brycen’s MRI of the head/brain has shown that there are 7-8 areas of concern for metastatic disease. The image and evidence of swelling are the culprit of his early morning seizure yesterday.
Osteo brain Mets is extremely rare per his medical team.
He is meeting with the best of the best to work out the very best palliative care path possible. No more chemo for the moment although we have a battle to fight in the left lung.
Plans are still in the works but your love, good vibes, and prayers are still very much welcomed!
Our hearts are shattered beyond measure at what our Baby Boy is having to deal with at such a young age.
He will NEVER be Alone! ❤️

Friends,
The ask is simple. Let’s help Brycen and his family make the memories that are worth a lifetime!
No donation is too small. If you are unable to donate, please pray or send them all the positive vibes imaginable!
On a personal note- I have known this family for over 20 years. They are kind, generous, and simply put- good people. Brycen was a special student of mine- he was always willing to help, he was humble, and he was a friend to everyone. Even as the years have passed and he has faced so much, he continues to be this way. It’s hard to see why someone like him deserves this, but he has Faith that his God has a special reason, so we must all follow in his never-ending strength.
To the Doughty Family- May these simple gestures from your community bring you comfort and a whole lot of happiness!
