Life-saving Liver Transplant Recovery for Bryce
My name is Hollie and I am Bryce’s older sister. He needs our help.
I really don’t know how to start this, as these past 4 days have been a whirlwind and I’m still trying to catch my breath.
Bryce was airlifted to Stanford ICU last Saturday with liver and kidney failure due to major undiagnosed depression and alcohol abuse. Our Mom, Dad and myself are at Stanford to support him as he comes to terms with his past traumas, pain and depression. He coped with these issues by silencing those thoughts and feelings with alcohol. Once the pandemic hit it seems he lost all hope. This has been scary and sad to watch.
…but there is HOPE.
Bryce is so deserving of this new liver and brand new life. A re-birth. A second chance to be who he is truly meant to be. It is a gift and he understands the responsibility that comes with such a gift.
I miss him playing music. Cooking. Laughing. Singing. I miss him having his close friendships. He’s the best son, brother, friend and Uncle. He will be equipped with the best therapists, liver doctors, social workers and psychiatrists to create a strong foundation for recovery.
Bryce is fighting for his life and I am asking if there is any amount of money you could donate to support him in his ICU stay, out-patient care and other bills it would mean the world. A liver transplant is incredibly expensive along with the 6-8 weeks of out-patient care that needs to be done near Stanford.
Bryce; YOU ARE STRONG. YOU ARE BRAVE. YOU ARE LOVED. YOU ARE READY. We love you.
Thank you for reading and helping if you are able to.
