Hello family and friends of Bryce, Kelsey & Sweet baby P....
My name is Traci Kern, I am a close family friend of both families.
On Friday the 25th Kelsey received a call from her storage unit in California telling her it had been broken into (their whole apartment was stored there). This call flipped her world, feeling violated and left with the devastation of her valuables stolen and the rest trashed…all while she is so far away.
As all of you know Bryce is on deployment right now and won't be coming back to the US until May, as his beautiful wife is holding down the Homefront back here in Minnesota 9 months pregnant with their precious little girl {Due any time now}
We are now trying to RALLY around this beautiful little family and try to take off a little of the new financial burden for them, but mostly show them love and support and that they are not alone but have a huge loving support team cheering them on!
Here is a great explanation from Katie King {Bryce's Mom}....
The call was received on Friday that the storage unit had been broken into. After a while Kelsey was finally able to get pictures from the owner that showed yes indeed it had been burglarized. The neatly stacked and organized storage unit was now a pile of torn open boxes and the rest of their household tossed around without care. The things we can confirm gone that were in the front of the storage unit are 2 flat screen TV's, unopened baby items (high chair, humidifier etc things new in box) and a military bag with Bryce's uniforms/military gear (will cost at least $1500 to replace)
Being Bryce is deployed and Kelsey here to have baby...they won't know until she brings baby back to Cali what all is missing and what is damaged or broken.
Their concerns are not the expensive items really...the Tv's, baby supplies and military uniforms can be replaced at a cost. All of the special wedding gifts are the first things Kelsey was worried about. Kelsey saw a box from her grandma with special Christmas ornaments tossed to the ground and these are the things that can't be replaced…which makes this all so sad.
Either way, a police report can’t be placed until Kelsey is there in person so it will remain unknown until May what will happen as far as anything being covered, they may have a small amount of insurance but most likely not enough to cover much…they thought it would be safe at the indoor storage unit.
This mama will be going back with baby and trying to get set up quick in her new home on base before Daddy gets back to see his baby girl for the first time, but now will need to first see police and then go see what shape her personal belongings are in. Will just be an added stress during the homecoming. We are hoping the special things that are most important to them are still there and not damaged. Love, Katie
