Bryce get testing for possible Autism

Hi! We do not ask for help often, especially financial help but this involves our son so Matt and I are swallowing our pride. So some know that our youngest Bryce has been diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. Through a few different therapists, counselors, family members, and just parent gut feeling we believe that he has more than just Sensory Processing Disorder. There have been a few indicators that suggest Autism (not understanding social cues, emotional maturity, emotional regulation, and fixation on things, to name a few). After talking with his pediatrician she put in a referral to Developmental Pediatrics. They are in network with our insurance (Medicaid) so it wouldn't cost anything. Great news! We did the paperwork and waited for a call for an appointment. We were then informed that we were then put on their waitlist that had about a 2-year wait! TWO YEARS!!! Just on the waitlist. No telling once we got off the waitlist how long it would take to get an appointment! And all this was just to do the testing/assessment to see if Bryce was on the Spectrum. Honestly, we can't wait two years, he had a meltdown with his counselor this past Monday that ended with us having to go to the ER. He had to stop going to Occupational Therapy because insurance would only cover so many sessions for Sensory Processing Disorder. Once he stopped going we saw some regression from the progress he had made. Two years is a long time. Unfortunately, after several ( I mean several) calls from places local to places all the way to Columbia that does testing/assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Behavioral Pediatrics is the only place that will accept our insurance. Every place else that I called is between $2,200-$3,000 to get him tested. These other places that I called however could see him as soon as a month (for one place- $3,000) to 6 months (for another place- $2,200). A lot better than 2 years and these places will do assessments that cover more than just autism spectrum disorder. Their assessments also include ADHD, learning disabilities, processing disabilities, anxiety, and behavioral and social delays. However, We don't have $2,200-$3,000 laying around and our credit cards are maxed out. But we know the sooner we can get a proper/official diagnosis for Bryce to see what else might be affecting him the sooner we can help get him in the proper therapies to give him the right coping mechanisms and tools to give him the best life possible. We know that we may not be able to get all of the assessment paid for through the GoFundMe page but any little bit would help so much!
