Bryce and Family Battle Cancer While Homeless

Hello, I'm Drew Ainscough, a close friend of the Frewin family. Today, I'm advocating for the Frewins, a family that has shown incredible strength and resilience in the face of daunting challenges, and they now need our community's support more than ever.

The Frewin family's ordeal began with an exciting opportunity for Ryan Frewin to teach in Taiwan, leading them to sell their home in anticipation of a new life abroad. However, just as they were about to embark on this journey, their youngest son, Bryce, was diagnosed with leukemia, halting their plans. To further compound their struggles, their other son, Kyle, was diagnosed with Crohn's disease.
Ryan made the difficult decision to move to Taiwan alone to retain his job and the family's health insurance. Meanwhile, Catherine, Bryce, and Kyle remained in the U.S., navigating the complex path of medical treatments without a permanent home. For a short time things looked better and they were able to go to Taiwan.

After a period of treatment in Taiwan, Bryce’s white blood cell count took a turn for the worse. The medicine covered by insurance was not compatible with Bryce’s body. The hospital told them they would need to use a medication from the US that cost $100,000! Upon hearing this they phoned the hospital back in the states and were informed they needed to rush Bryce back home, that his life may depend on it. They listened and returned home… without a home to have Bryce treated in the states again. They are now back in the U.S., and Bryce is responding well to treatment as an outpatient.

However, the family faces a new challenge: they are still separated from Ryan and urgently need to secure stable housing. The lack of financial resources has made it difficult for them to find a place to live. This is where our support can make a transformative difference.

This GoFundMe campaign is dedicated to raising funds to help the Frewin family afford a place to live, while Bryce continues his outpatient treatment. Your contribution will provide them with the stability they desperately need during this critical time. It will also ensure that Kyle receives the ongoing care he needs for his Crohn's disease.
Let's come together to offer the Frewin family a helping hand. They have weathered a storm of challenges with courage and hope. Now, it's our turn to show them that they are not alone in this journey.
Thank you for considering supporting the Frewins. Your generosity can significantly impact their lives, bringing them one step closer to reuniting as a family and living in a stable, nurturing environment.
