In 2010, my wife and I bought our first home.  We knew it would have problems, but my wife fell in love with it.  She said she wanted to live here til the end of her days.  We gave it a new roof, new wiring, and planted fruit trees in the backyard.  We painted one room bright yellow, her favorite color.
     Since then Tiffany's health has declined.  She has Type 1 diabetes and Psoriatic Arthritis.  In 2012 she lost her hair from medication.  Earlier this year she started to go blind.  We took a second mortgage on the house to pay for laser eye treatments.  This preserved vision in one eye.  As an artist, this has been a particularly difficult adjustment.  Even with treatments, we don't know how long she will be able to see.
     In August 2014 we discovered black mold in the back of the house.  The damage is extensive.  We need to tear out walls, redo the roof, and give the add-on a proper foundation. 
     Homeowner's Insurance won't help us.  Our families have helped all they can.  We simply can't afford to fix our house. 
     I want to give my wife the home she envisioned.  We are so lucky to have a home at all, and grateful to our family and friends for their love and support over the years!
