Meet Aaliyah (12), Osiris the II (11), and Ayva (7), three of the most amazing children in the world and the apples of our family's eye.
Aaliyah, our first born, is an incredibly smart, humble and kind big sister. As the leader of our little pack, Aaliyah is the ideal rolemodel, encouraging her siblings to study hard, look out for one another, and to be responsible. With her big smile and even bigger personality, she confidently paves the way for her siblings and peers in every aspect.
Osiris the II, our son, is one of the most loving people you will ever come across. He loves his sisters dearly and protects them fiercely. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Osiris the II is never without a smile, but don't be fooled, he is a quick learn and excelling in his Shou Shu (Martial Arts) classes. He is intelligent beyond his years and a model student who loves to learn and challenges himself to stay ahead of the curve. He is the heart of our family and our moral compass.
Last but not least, Ayva, our youngest, is a daddy's girl and proud of it! While she looks up to her older siblings, Ayva is a leader in her own right. For a seven year old, she is incredibly bold and very independent. Her magnetic personality and big heart makes it easy to like her and love her even more. She is the the bright light that makes our family go 'round.
On January 14, 2017, our family's world was turned upside down. That was the day their dad, my husband, went to run an errand and would not return. A tragic event beyond words ripped him from our grasp and broke our hearts into pieces.
As their mother, I'm doing everything in my power to keep our children uplifted, supported and help them heal in any way I can, while processing the fact that Osiris Sr., is no longer with us. I only have so much strength and ability to keep our family going, and as the saying goes, 'It takes a village to raise a child.' So I'm here today to call on my village. We need your help.
My children are smart, thriving, and motivated and I want to give them every opportunity and resource to capitalize on those characterisitics. I want to support my kids' dreams to be able to attend college and become hard working and highly contributing members of society. This is why my goal is what it is. I want to be able to help pay for each of their educational journey's as much as possible.
