Bryan Levine is 24 years old and was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma on July 9th, 2015. Hodgkin’s lymphoma, formerly known as Hodgkin’s disease, is a cancer of the lymphatic system, a part of the immune system. Cells in the lymphatic system grow abnormally and eventually can spread to other areas of the body. As Hodgkin’s lymphoma progresses it compromises your body’s ability to fight infection. Bryan is in good condition and is responding well to his treatments. He is being treated with chemotherapy on a 6 cycle program which consists of 12 chemotherapy treatments. He has had three treatments so far and can already see results from the lumps that show on the exterior of his body. Unfortunately, his treatment has forced him to stop work and he has no way to overcome the insurmountable expenses that treatment requires. In addition, Bryan has just been admitted to Berklee College of Music on a bachelor’s program, which he plans on pursuing online during treatment starting in September. As a close friend of Bryan’s, it bothers me to see him struggle on financial costs when his attention should be 100% on getting better. The funds will be used to pay off pet/ct scans, biopsy, chemotherapy treatments and medication, doctor visits, and all other medical related expenses. All donations mean the world to this young man, and are deeply appreciated by his family and friends. Thank you all that contribute. I will keep you posted as his treatments continue.

“There comes a point in everyone’s life where you are faced with a tough situation ahead of you. Whether negative or positive there is always a learning experience behind it that benefits you in multiple ways. No matter how difficult the journey gets you always keep that mind of yours positive. I have done a lot of thinking since the day this all came up. Things that bothered me are no longer an issue, my outlooks on the world have changed, understanding life and death make sense to me now, and what’s most important to me is in clear sight. Going through treatment has already started to make me a stronger person. I welcome these challenges because I know I will never forget the growth that comes from meeting them. I am eternally thankful for the opportunity to reach out and ask for help. I love you all and wish you all the best on your journeys in life.”
