Bryan Creech’s Journey: Overcoming Paralysis Together
Donation protected
Hello, I am a friend of Bryan Creech.
He underwent a procedure to bring comfort and woke up paralyzed. He came in on his own feet and left in an ambulance to an ER. He is unable engage in his profession as a pilot and thus, to work to support his family as he had just a few weeks ago.
I woke up Paralyzed. I had no feelings from my waste down. I Woke up in the recovery room from a routine surgery, to implant a spinal cord stimulator, experiencing terrifying pain that was so immense that was indescribable. My life was flashing in-front of my eyes. Thinking I will never walk again. I’ll never be intimate with my wife again, and I will never fly again. Tears were flowing as the only thing I can get out of my mouth were agonizing screams.
I went to an out patient facility with so much optimism.
They prepped me for surgery and I kiss my wife and they wheeled me back to change my life. The doctor and his staff messed up so bad and did not realize what the did. They cut a blood vessel and sewed me up with a massive blood spinal cord edema. It was so bad that I woke up paralyzed.
This is gonna be a long road to recovery. At this point no one knows what recovery will look like. At this point I have no control over my lower body. I have to wear a diaper and a catheter and have a nurse clean me and give me daily showers. They are planning on sending me home in a couple weeks where I will require a nurse at home to take care of me and give me physical therapy for many months to come and with the sad but realistic potential for life.
I have spent my adult life being a giver and a leader; Always trying to lift people’s spirits when they are down or taking care immediate bills when people get in tight situations financially. Most of my free time is spent at my martial arts school where I am a 2nd degree black belt teaching and encouraging students of all ages to face their fears and find the courage to rise above. Now, I’m the one that needs help. I am the one that needs encouragement and I am the one that’s need some financial support to help through all these medical bills that will sure pile up and help relive stress from my wife and 3 kids that only want their husband and dad back home even if its in a wheel chair.
Here is an update:

Update: Jan 11, 2025
I was released from the hospital to home care. Where I will have a therapist come to my home to help me in day-to-day life alone with outpatient PT. I have recovered some feeling in my legs. I also have recovered some motor function. It is going to be an exceptionally long road to recovery. I also have no idea what recovery will look like. How much I get back is in gods hands. Ill continue to do my part at physical therapy. Thank you, all your kind words of support and prayers and financial support to help us navigate this new life for us.
