I just found out I have Cancer and had my first surgery to remove it from my body.  It is very scary to find out you have Cancer and knowing the prospect that I may die in the not too distant future is not easy to deal with.  But I am trusting in God to get me through this difficult and trying time.  I believe strongly that when we are weak, God is strong through us.

One of the verses that I cling to found in one of Paul's letter in the New Testament.  It is one of the few later parts of the bible, where we find Jesus' words in red.
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Much like Paul, I have had a literal thorn in the flesh for many years.  I had a serious powerlifting injury several years ago that left me with permanent severe pain in my lumbar spine and sciatica.  This has forced me into an early unwanted retirement from my career as a prosecutor and reserve peace officer.  This has been an opportunity for me to completely trust in the Lord and give my weakness to Him.  And God has given me Joy despite the constant severe pain that plagues my body.

I am hoping to use this Go Fund Me page to pay for the mountains of past medical expenses I have accrued over the years and many that will be continuing for some time now.  Just so you get an idea of some of these expenses, I will list them here: Cancer Surgery, Spinal Surgery, Hip Surgery, Multiple Epidural Injections, MRI's, CT's, Ultrasounds, Chiropracters, Acupuncturists, multiple regular Dr. visits, exams, etc.  Even after HMO coverage, we have still have had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket and need help.
