Bryan's Battle- Fighting for life
Hello friends. With a heavy but hopeful heart, I created this page for our main man, the one and only- Bryan Heveron and the fight for his life- against his terminal stage 4 Esophageal cancer..
•The Story•
On 3/19, Bryan became sick and was swiftly taken to the ER by his wife Amy. That evening, the couple was given the shocking, difficult news of a possible cancer diagnosis and two days later- the life altering diagnosis was delivered. Bryan bravely underwent 5 procedures in a matter of just 6 days to determine the severity of his cancer and our hearts broke with the prognosis. He has been through rigorous rounds of chemotherapy, but Bryan’s cancer has spread beyond his esophagus and it is deemed terminal, inoperable, and too far advanced for organ transplant options. Bryan has decided he “isn’t ready to go yet” and they “are ready to fight- All the way! For better or for worse.. in sickness and in health..”
•The Battle•
Hope for extending Bryan’s life now lies with qualifying for cancer trials or unconventional treatments. After gaining some strength back, the couple traveled to several cancer centers in search of answers- and recently found some treatment hope in Houston, Texas. After a long line of “no's" and “I’m sorry's" there finally came a light. This page is being set up to help fund Bryan's fight as #teambryan will need help with medical expenses and traveling from Florida to Texas and other specialty treatment centers. To qualify for, and participate in these potential trials and new treatments comes with added cost. There will be extended periods of inpatient status, extra CT scans, PET scans, lab work, and other medical procedures required by the treatment facility. It has been explained to the Heverons that most of these additional expenses are likely not covered by insurance. The couple is hopeful in finding some success with Cell Therapy and new science.
Bryan is a fighter. He’s a kind and loyal friend who’s always quick with a joke -the kind of guy you want in your corner because you know will be there for you. He’s a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and dog Daddy. The young couple were “just getting started” and now is the time for us to all pull together.
We are humbly asking for help on their behalf, and appreciate every act of kindness we may receive. Life has taken an extreme turn for their family. Medical bills will begin to accumulate and they must act quickly as his form of cancer is very aggressive. Whether it be lifting Bryan in prayer or a monetary gift - every bit counts in their grueling fight ahead. If you cannot donate at this time, you can help by sharing this link. Please pray for Bryan, his family and friends.
Much love, hope and appreciation
Brian Stiles
