Bryan Zavala Funeral Services
Donation protected
Family and friends, I have made this GoFundMe as many of you have asked if you could help and send money for his arrangements or to show your support to our family. Bryan was truly the best of us, and his death has been difficult. Our sweet boy deserves to have the most beautiful funeral/service. These funds will go towards buying his flowers and whatever else it is we would need to complete for his service.
Bryan was loved by many. He has left a beautiful story of a true fighter and has inspired many.
Thank you all.
At the age of 14 Bryan was diagnosed with Leukemia. It was a difficult time then, but he took on this huge challenge head on, and stayed strong through it all. After 1 year and a half he was in maintenance for a few months. There was no leukemia/cancer cells in his body. Unfortunately he did relapse April 2023. He was only a few months away from ringing that bell and being cancer free. His journey was not over, his fight was just beginning. He was going through intense chemotherapy when he got a rare and fatal fungal infection. He was air lifted out of state and had an emergency surgery that same night. They removed half of his nose to cut the fungus out. He survived. We felt like we could breath again, just another bump on the road that we were able to overcome. He was recovering well. Unfortunately somehow two months later the infection spread to his lungs. He was given a choice two weeks into being in the PICU, do you want to continue fighting even though we don’t know what that will look like for you, or go home and spend whatever time you have left with your family. He decided he still had fight left in him. He wanted to stay and fight. After a few days he started having new symptoms. He stayed strong and kept fighting. Bryan’s will to live was inspiring. He never gave up. Went out a fighter.
Rest in Peace Bryan Jesus Zavala. I love you brother.
