In 2012, Bryan Vande Vrede was diagnosed with stage four nasopharyngeal cancer.In the following weeks, Bryan underwent multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Thankfully, the results were blessed by God and Bryan is cancer free to this day. However, the side effects of the treatment were long lasting. Scar tissue built up and a large cyst formed on Bryan's brain. The combination of the two put pressure on the frontal lobe, causing seizures to occur. On October 29, 2018, Bryan had brain surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City to remove the cyst. Due to treatments and surgeries, expensive medical bills have accumulated. Our family has decided to reach out to friends, family, and the community for help with the bills. We thank you in advance for supporting us in this endeavor.
