Dear friends, family, the Cleveland Browns community, and beyond,

Our good friend and valiant leader, Bryan Loberg, has been quietly suffering from an extreme case of neuropathy, a highly painful nerve disease which causes constant aching, cramping, numbness, throbbing and sharp pains in his lower legs and feet. With a pain level in the 90 percentile, his neuropathy is often described as one of the worst types of pain that a person can suffer from. It is a never-ending nightmare of a condition - unrelenting pain, 24 hours a day. Bryan has been afflicted with this terrible condition for three years and it has drastically affected his personal, professional, and financial life. He is forced to rely on a costly and physically draining regimen of nine medications to treat his disease. Sadly, the Ontario government's disability program, ODSP, does not recognize neuropathy as a disability and the exhausting nature of the treatments keep Bryan knocked out and housebound for an average of five days a week. In recent times, Bryan has finally come to accept his situation but he has been forced to give up his work and is living on his now quickly diminishing savings.

Bryan was a vibrant contributor to the city of Toronto's entertainment district and a brilliant marketer, producer, and event planner. He has proven himself to be an invaluable leader and successful businessman on the fan side of the Cleveland Browns organization. He is the creator of Canada's largest NFL fan club, the Toronto Browns Backers, and was a prominent founder of the Cleveland Browns' Browns Backers Worldwide Leadership Council. Bryan even operated his own charity, World Association of Natural Disaster Awareness & Assistance (WANDAA), and in 2011, he and his partner raised over $25,000 to assist the needy people of Japan in the aftermath of the disastrous tsunami which occurred there. From donations, Bryan bought aid supplies, shipped them to Japan, jumped on a truck with other foreign volunteers, and drove 12 hours north of Tokyo to deliver relief to the people himself. Bryan has brought many smiles to many faces throughout his life. He is an extremely optimistic person and is constantly thinking of ideas and ways to help others in this world that he so dearly loves.

Bryan's doctor at College Street Medical Clinic, Dr. Osama Shabash, is quoted as saying, "In my 13 years as a physician, Bryan is the toughest patient that I have ever met, hands down. He has fought extremely hard to maintain a positive attitude and refuses to quit. He is remarkable and THE epitome of courage, will, and determination." As proud members of the Toronto Browns Backers, we can attest to those facts of Bryan's character, adversity, and strength. Bryan has made an unbelievable effort to organize us, set up our new Browns Backers location in Toronto, and continue to grow our membership. He was even able to put together our inaugural bus trip to the Browns home opener in September. Bryan is an absolute trooper and we've all appreciated it when he has been able to gather the energy the few times this year to make it out to our weekly game-day watch parties. Without Bryan, we wouldn't have even gotten started and surely wouldn't have made it this far!

Now we think it's time that Bryan received a little care and support in return. Bryan needs financial assistance and your donation will help him with lidocaine infusion treatments, massage therapy, psychological therapy, non-insured medications, and living expenses. He would also like to reinvest some of this money into neuropathy awareness to help other sufferers like him and recognize neuropathic pain as a debilitating disability. Let's throw the flag on neuropathy and give Bryan a much-deserved 1st & Ten!
