In Loving Memory of Thelma and Carol Bryan
Some people leave behind more than memories—they leave behind a legacy that continues to bless others long after they’re gone.
My parents, Thelma and Carol Bryan, were two of those people. My mother was a teacher, health care worker, and faithful woman of God. My father, a skilled mechanic and dedicated church servant. Together, they lived lives rooted in faith, hard work, and compassion for others—especially the youth in their Jamaican community.
They gave even when they didn’t have much. They encouraged every child who walked through their door to stay in school, to keep the faith, and to believe in something greater. Today, I want to carry that legacy forward.
That’s why I started the Bryan Memorial Initiative (BMI)—to provide scholarships, school supplies, and spiritual encouragement to students across Clarendon and beyond. So many of these students are full of potential, but face real barriers due to financial hardship.
