Bryan Hernandez -Brain Surgery (Pons Cavernoma)

Hey I’m Cortney, Bryan Hernandez’s friend. He just recently moved back to California & on day 3 of him being back, he was rushed to the emergency room because the left side of his body was going numb which prohibited him from walking or using his hands properly.

He was diagnosed with pons cavonoma and transferred to Stanford Hospital in an ambulance. Pons cavonoma is the forming of many different blood vessels that cause hemorrhages on the brain if left untreated & can result in stroke or can even be fatal. In his case, the doctor said he must have had these since he was a kid, and they started to develop and intensify as he got older. While at Stanford he is in great hands & is being monitored until his brain surgery on the 12th of September, 2023.

Unfortunately, after much wait time in the hospital, these hemorrhages are needed to be removed with brain surgery because they do cause brain inflammation that make his symptoms worse. My friend currently is in a lot of pain & everyday continues fighting to regain his normalcy. If the surgery goes well, the healing process will be just as painful as the symptoms before the surgery so this is only the beginning of his healing process. With physical therapy, he will relearn how to walk again and gain mobility in his arms, feet & face. The expenses are for rehab, physical therapy, hospital, financial and medical expenses, ect.

I hope for a speedy recovery in which he will need in order to continue living his life to his normal full potential. And if you know Bryan, you know he will be back to doing what he loves to do which is dancing, working in the restaurant industry & spending time with his loved ones.
