I've know Bryan and Debbie Fischer for 30 years. When I first moved to Boise in 1995, I had some friends who were attending a relatively new start-up church called Community Church of the Valley. That was Bryan's church! He ministered to and inspired people with his incredible teaching style. So many lives were changed during that time!
I began as just one of the many who attended there. But over the years, I grew to know and love Bryan and Debbie deeply.
Now that Bryan has passed away, I thought I would open up this opportunity for people to send their love and appreciation to Debbie.
Whether you knew Bryan during his 13 years as an Associate Pastor at Cole Community Church, or you were under his leadership and guidance at Community Church of the Valley, you are familiar with what a gifted teacher he was. There's no doubt you appreciated his loving way of sharing God's Word and leading people Christ.
After he moved to Mississippi to work for the American Family Association, he gained MANY more friends and followers during his 12 years as a conservative talk radio show host on American Family Radio. There, he used his teaching skills to fight for Biblical values while informing and inspiring others across the nation to do the same.
Even when Bryan was in the hospital during the last year or two of his life, his witness and passion for the Lord remained the same, and he lead his hospital roomate to accept Jesus Christ as his savior.
Bryan and Debbie were married for 49 years!! They have two adult children and two grandchildren. Debbie spent her life at Bryan's side, loving, encouraging and supporting him throughout his time leading others.
I say it's time for us to show our appreciation to Bryan and Debbie and bless Debbie with gifts of any size: $5, $10, $20, or even $100. No amount is too small as it will all add up to be a protection of Debbie's independence as she begins this stage of life as Bryan's widow. She has said that Bryan worked hard to ensure she would be able to manage financially after he passed.
But I get a heart-warming feeling just imaging being able to gift Debbie an amount that would help her through this time, help her to be even more secure and comfortable.
Whether or not you can donate, please pray for Debbie and their family during this time. And share this gofundme with others.
