Bryan & Ariel Hegsted Family
Donation protected
On Thursday March 14th, the Hegsted family spent the evening playing outside and enjoying the warmer weather. Three-year-old Shane Hegsted was playing with his family before bedtime when he collapsed and was unresponsive. His parents, Bryan and Ariel, rushed him to the hospital while courageously preforming CPR. A team of doctors at Madison Memorial hospital were able to stabilize him enough to transfer him to EIRMC. Shane had experienced sudden cardiac arrest. While the doctors administered all life-saving measures, Little Shane did not survive.
Shane was a little boy full of adventure and love. He has brightened so many lives with his fun and sweet personality. He loved to run and play outside. He loved to be with his family and get everyone together for family prayer. Shane's brothers and sister talk about his hugs and kisses, his smile and his laugh. His dad talks about Shane being his little buddy- tagging along on razor rides and working together outside and in the shop. And his mom talks about being involved in Shane's everyday shenanigans, his love for animals, and his vibrant, happy face.
So many people have asked how to help the Hegsted family through this shocking event. It's incredible to see how many people have already reached out with kindness and in thoughtful ways. This GoFundMe page allows us to help offset the financial costs of the medical bills and funeral arrangements. Thank you so much for anything you can give. Please continue to pray for healing and peace for this sweet family.
