Brutus Lee's Emergency Surgery and Vet Care

I've started this fundraiser to help Brutus' human parents, Chris and Sandra. Brutus had emergency surgery on October 10th to remove two obstructions in his intestine. While Chris and Sandra have not asked for financial assistance, they will have bills that will most like be over $5,000 for Brutus' emergency care. I want our friends to concentrate on getting Brutus back to health and not have to worry as much about how they will pay for this unforeseen situation. Any amount will help them; please consider supporting this family. All funds donated will go toward vet bills already incurred.

Per Chris's post today:

"I got the call from Doc this morning. Brutus is stable. He had a brief episode of regurgitation; aside from that, he’s doing ok. It’s obvious Brutus means a lot to Sandra and me. I could get into all the reasons; accidents, miscarriages, loss, life, etc. As a dog, it might seem he may be unable to contribute much in those intense moments. Yet, without ever saying a word, he would reassure Sandra and me that together we would make it through. When we rescued him from a crate in Perryville, we had no idea that this dog -then named Dallas- would rescue us. We are aware that he will not live forever, and we accept that. We are also aware of God’s miracles; I’m living proof. We are praying for a miracle to bring our buddy home. To love on him just a little longer and, if anything, allow him the dignity of passing not in pain but in peace.

Thank you, everyone, for the love you have extended to Sandra, Brutus, Naomi, and me. There have been a lot of tears this weekend, and your thoughts and prayers have helped.
