Brusied and Broken

On December 21st, 2022 I was violently attacked by another girl. She shoved me, knocking me to the floor and then proceeded to jump on top of me to hold me down on the concrete floor with her knee on my head. During this attack I sustained many bad bruises, scrapes and cuts from head to toe. The MAIN damage however was to my right wrist. (I am right handed!) She broke my wrist in 2 places and part of the bone is misplaced. After 2 visits to different hospitals, 5 doctors visits, x-rays and cat scans, they concluded that I need surgery or it won't heal properly.

But wait....unfortunately, there's more. As if this wasn't bad enough, on Friday, 2 days after I was attacked, I was also laid off from my job. This was the day before Christmas Eve.

I had no financial cushion for anything like this and I've been in absolute hell.

The surgery will cost over $6,000 and my insurance is not going to cover enough of it. Between surgery, hospital bills, specialist doctors, scans and x-rays AND months of physical therapy after sugery, I will wind up owing around $17,000 or more. 

I have never in my life started a 'go fund me' page for myself, but I have no other options at this point. I tried applying for credit, but was denied.
