SAVING AVA

Dear friends, our beloved dog AVA, an 8 y.o female Belgian Shepherd mix, was diagnosed yesterday with Pancreatitis and

diabetes. Everything happened very quickly, and we found ourselves yesterday, June 2nd at the emergency room in the animal hospital after she was vomiting, feeling weak and urinating uncontrollably. She collapsed and we thought she is gone. For the past two weeks she presented some minor symptoms which we treated, but yesterday things took a very quick turn for the worst. We found ourselves being hit with a $2,700 medical bill for which we were not prepared.

 

Ava is a very special and beloved dog, who is a family member to us that we rescued 6 years ago after she went through the most horrific abuse and neglect. We have been raising her with endless love and care along with our other rescued pup, KAZA, and it took us a very long time to help her heal her emotional and physical trauma from which she suffered from her previous owners.

 

We are now doing this urgent fundraiser to cover her medical bills and ongoing treatment which will include medications, check ups and a special diet to manage her blood sugar.
