Bruno Update #5 << It’s a long one + something we were hoping NOT to hear. For those of you following Bruno’s journey we wanted to share with you the latest news. As you all saw yesterday (in the video) Bruno has been in pain + can’t seem to get comfortable. We began to notice that Bruno couldn’t lower his head low enough to eat or drink out of his bowl, so that was alarming... we had to lift the bowl to his mouth. He was also scared to lay down. Before we wanted to result to go back to the ER, we tried to seek some wisdom + advice as to what we should do from a few friends. << If we had to, we would spend whatever it took to make sure our babies are taken care of, but it’s extremely hard when funds are all due upfront. So the thought of the cost of another visit at the ER was something that was overwhelming. A dear friend of mine , reached out and said, ” this is exactly how my sisters dog was + he ended up with spinal meningitis” ... That was never on our radar until yesterday. So we observed and watched him like a hawk. So we tried two things before we decided to take him. We researched a Pet Safe CBD oil + we heard Epsom Salt baths work wonders ... So we tried those things before we have to make the call... It’s now 1:30 am, with no progress. So we once again, made the call + we gently loaded him in the car, and off we went. After 3 hours of waiting, we finally got a call with an update. << H I S D I A G N O S I S .... We didn’t like the sound of the Dr.’s voice when we answered the phone. He asked a series of questions to get a little more insight. Our answers were all tying together with his assessment. So after assessing Bruno, he discovered that Bruno would yelp when he would turn his head right + resisted movement with any other direction. He then moved down to his spine and he showed major discomfort + try to quickly back away when he pressed on certain areas. So Dr. said... so after my assessment, unfortunately, Bacterial Spinal Meningitis is high in my radar. So to fully diagnose him, we need to get him in with a Neurologist for a MRI + a Spinal Tap to confirm. These tests will be around $3,500. He said it’s great that he’s still eating and drinking! Patients with Spinal Meningitis can decline quickly so he’s hopeful we caught it early. So now we pray for a miracle. All to think it started with him going to Sd Spay + Neuter clinic. If we had know fixing him would turn into this night mare.... we would have never done it. << We are SO incredibly grateful for everyone who has continued to call, text , donate + pray. Please continue praying for our little guy. We are now on an even longer road than we thought taking a detour. But we know we aren’t alone. We love and appreciate you so much. We know times are tough right now so of course we understand if you are unable to help, But if you can, even the smallest amount,please know we are forever grateful for your selfless generosity!!
